LADIES: ALERT - MERCURY in Cosmetics

Toxic thimerosal (mercury) is NOT always listed on the label of your cosmetics by that name, but may be listed as either:
mercurochrome,
merthiolate,
sodium ethylmercurithiosalicylate,
thimerosalate,
thiomerosalan,
merzonin,
mertorgan,
ethly (2-mercaptobenzoato-S),
mercury sodium salt,
merfamin,
or [(o-carboxyphenyl)thi] ethylmercury sodium salt.

After taking a look at this list of complicated chemical names for the mercury in cosmetics, it's easy to see how the use of mercury in a makeup product (especially the eyes) has escaped the attention of a vast majority of consumers.

Please, read the labels on all your cosmetics.
